maybe the sun will shine today

The train sounds in the distance as it rolls through town on this breezy April night. I've just returned home from watching my girlfriend's volleyball team get their intermural on...they're now 2-2, which is more than the Red Sox can say. Anywho...I just made my last pot of coffee for the day, pulled out the Fig Newtons and put some Wilco on the turntable.
For some reason, waiting on these spring time thunderstorms to hit us has inspired me to just take a step back and relax, think about the day, and recharge. So, forgive me if I ramble...

As I look back over today, it was fairly uneventful...aside from receiving my paycheck and eating an abnormally decent slice of pizza in the dining commons, having an afternoon class cancelled and calling home, nothing too out of the ordinary occurred...except that I scaled a wall!! Ok, well it was a climbing wall, so it's meant to be scaled. And I was in a harness. And I did get tired once I reached the top, realizing that I am out of shape for the umpteenth time in my life. My roommate and I both agreed that we felt like Bear Grylls (my personal ultimate man-hero) would be proud of how we owned that climbing wall. When I realized how much forearm and hand strength I exerted, my thoughts wandered back to the Montana episode of Man vs. Wild when Bear free climbs the train bridge. Oh, what was that? You haven't seen that one?? Well, allow me to provide a video...here...for your viewing pleasures. I'll give you a second to watch.

Now, was that not a ridiculously unnecessary display of unbridled, unadulterated manliness? Yes. It was indeed.
Well, as I previously stated...I believe that man would have been proud of our wall scaling skills exhibited earlier.

Well, I suppose that's enough pondering and useless rambling for one night.
