Well, today has been a very enjoyable Sunday indeed. I awoke at 7:30 this morning to beautiful spring-like weather, song birds singing...and with the sun shining, I walked to church with my girl on my arm. After church, we got together with a load of friends and had a Valentine's day late lunch...oh my. I finally got Sarah to cook a most incredible beef stew in bread bowls (which was delicious), and a corn chowder, accompanied by her roommates' green bean casserole and a corn casserole. OH! And we can't forget Gramma Jello's apple pie...mmmhmm. Yes, it was indeed a good day to be eating in Greenville. I'm going to include a link right here for the recipe Sarah found for her beef stew...I think my girlfriend is Julia Child.
Let me just tell you men, find a woman who can cook as well as this and don't ever let her go. And girls...learn how to cook like this...it's the fastest way to a man's heart, eh? Boy, I hope that didn't come across as chauvinistic! I guess girls, if you can find a guy that can cook something, don't ever let him go...cause you won't find many of 'em out there! There...I covered my bases now, eh? Good. Well, it was my intention to take a couple quick shots of our meal today, but by time we actually sat down to eat, I wasn't going to look for a camera. Just take my word...it was amazing.
And on top of it all...I got to take an hour long nap, AND finish up some weekend homework! Yeah...it was a good day. The only thing that might've made it better was some horse bark root beer...I actually have no idea what that tastes like, but it's in a Mountain Man song...so I figured they know...and it must be good.
I suppose I'll close up shop for tonight folks...
haha "I actually have no idea what it tastes like..." ;)
