love of summer

Long has it been since I've made any posts on The Katahdin, but a lack of any semblance of an internet connection for a little over a month will do that to ya. Today though, I am sitting on the deck of my girlfriend's gracious Aunt & Uncle soaking up the sun and enjoying the pool.

Shortly after finishing up the semester back in Greenville, Sarah and I spent an enjoyable, but far too short, week back home in Maine where we ferried over to a sleepy New England island, cooked some fresh Maine lobster, attended a friend's wedding, got busted on some algae covered rocks, walked the Freedom Trail down in Beantown (that's Boston), and caught a 45 minute in-store show by the mandolin virtuoso Chris Thile and his mountain yodeling partner, Michael Daves...oh my goodness...It went way too fast, but it was a great trip.

Now, back in amongst flatlanders, I continue the arduous search for employment (with a little ray of possible sun light up ahead) and enjoy a little bit of relaxing time with Sarah and her rambunctious younger brother...Not a bad day.
